Lease/Return
Phones Process
•
To get the Google Developers Phone, you need a Lease Form
–
You must pick up a lease form from the instructor during
October 6-9 (either in the class or during office hours) since the lease form
must be signed by the instructor (one lease form per phone per person)
–
Fill out the lease form; bring the lease form to
Rick van Hook/Paula Welch and pick up the phone from room 1330 SC
•
Lease Phones: phones
will be ready to pick up starting October
20, 9-4pm from room 1330 SC (purchasing , receiving and inventory control
office)

Return Phones: phones
need to be returned December 14-18 (final
exam week), 9-4pm in room 1330 SC to Paula Welch/Rick van Hook. Please,
read carefully the lease form for the various legal aspects of the lease
agreement.
Machine
Problems

1. In Eclipse, click
Help->Software Updates 2. Click the Available
Software tab, and “Add Site” button on the right 3. Enter http://dl-ssl.google.com/android/eclipse/site.xml as the new site 4. Select “Android
DDMS” and “Android Development Tools” under the Development
Tools under the new site. 5. Click
“Install” in the upper right corner 6. After it is installed,
restart Eclipse 7. In Eclipse, click
Window->Preferences 8. Select Android (dismiss
any warning dialogs) and click the Browse button 9. Select/Enter
/usr/lib/android-sdk-linux_x86-1.5_r3 10. Click Apply and then OK Homework
Assignments
Homework assignments (HWs) will be posted here. There will be four HWs.. We will stagger HW deadlines so that they do not overlap with MP deadlines. For HWs, you must submit hardcopy solutions that are typed. Figures may be drawn by hand. Handwritten solutions will be returned without being graded. For each homework, please make sure each new problem solution starts on a fresh page, and that your name appears at the top of each sheet.
