- [12/19] Final Exam Viewing and Regrading:
January 14, 9-10am, January 27, 9-10am, January 28, 9-10am (if you
can’t come during these times, email me for meeting scheduling).
The absolute deadline for any re-grading of final exams is January 30, 2010.

You should be able to see your letter grade (that was also entered
in the banner system) and the statistics of the class in compass.
Please, keep in mind that the undergraduate students were graded
separately from graduate students as advertised in the class at the
beginning of the semester. For

Winners
of Qualcomm-sponsored Kindles are Hee Dong Jung, Hyun Duk Kim, Chia-Chia Lin (Group 3). The
application they developed was called G-Clicker. The second place went to Wee Hong Yeo, Yun Wei Chang, Samuel Laurence (Group 9) for
their application “Indoor
Localization for Virtual Tours in Siebel Center”. Third place
was awarded to Craig McIntyre,
Ohm V. Patel, Michael D. Ford (Group 5) for their “Quiz” application.
Congratulation to all winners!!!!! However, I want to stress that it was
a very difficult decision to come up with the final three since all five
final applications and presentations were very impressive.

[Recommended purchase] Coulouris, G., Dollimore, J., and
Kindberg, T., Distributed Systems: Concepts and Design, Addison-Wesley, Fourth
Edition, 2005, ISBN: 0201619180. Please note: The third edition
ought to suffice for most of our material, but we will refer to chapter,
section, and problem numbers ONLY in the Fourth Edition. Correct
interpretation/translation of these numbers in the 3rd edition is solely the
students' responsibility (no excuses).
