I was born and raised in Florida and completed my undergraduate degree at the University of Florida in linguistics and Portuguese (Go Gators!). I've been riding horses for 21 years, I love to sing, and I dance Salsa and was an instructor in Florida.

I am Xiangyu (Joe) Chen, a second year master in the field of data mining and machine learning. I just transferred to CS and its my first time been the TA for CS125. Previously I was a ECE student focus on vision. And I am a big fan on soccer and ice skating.

I'm Kirill. I am in the final year of the 5 year BS/MS program in CS, focusing on Human-Computer Interaction. I love dancing—in particular ballroom. This will be my first semester TAing and I'm very excited!

Bhargav Mangipudi

My name is Bhargav Mangipudi. I am a first years Master's student. I did my undergraduate in Computer Science at IIT Ropar, India and worked with Microsoft India for a few years. In my free time, I like to read books (esp. fantasy/epic fantasy ones).

Atul Sandur

I am Atul Sandur, joining the PhD program with CS department this fall. I was previously working with Microsoft Azure (cloud computing platform) in Redmond for 3 years. My research interest is primarily in distributed computing, though I also have background in areas like ubiquitous systems and machine learning/AI. I enjoy playing ping pong, badminton, and am an avid follower of tennis. I have also been learning skiing for the last couple of years and have come to love it!

Vipul Venkataraman

I am Vipul Venkataraman, a first year Master’s student. I previously did by Bachelor’s in Computer Science at IIT Bombay in India. My undergrad thesis was on Query Optimization, and I am planning to work in Data Mining and related fields for my thesis. I enjoy playing chess, slightly rusty these days though :)
