During the lecture when the homework is due, there will be a mini-quiz (closed book, closed notes), which will consist of a problem based on the homework due that day. Quiz problems will be very similar to one of the homework problems.
The lowest homework and quiz scores will be dropped for 211 students and the lowest two homework and quiz scores will be dropped for 210 students.
If your homework submission has more than 1 sheet of paper, you need to staple it. Unstapled homework will not be graded. The homework solution should be readable, clearly written. In the case it isn't, students will be penalized with reduction of points or zero credits (see policy below). The student's name, netid, and homework number should be clearly written on top of every page.
If you want to request a regrade of your homework or quiz, you must do so within a week of it being handed back during lecture. To request a regrade, on a separate piece of paper, write why you think you should get more credit. Staple this paper to your homework or quiz and then submit all documents to Prof. Chen in class within a week of it being handed back (if you pick it up late you do not get an extension).
