Attendance Policy

Quizzes and exams will be excused if you are sick and have a doctor’s note. For all other unavoidable absences, please contact Prof. Madhavan and copy the TA involved and they will consider your request.

Submit documentation to request an excused absence at this link. This can include:

On-campus COVID test or at-home test (must be self-reported through My McKinley)
The visit confirmation/encounter document from McKinley
A Dial-A-Nurse "note"
A return to work/school document from a health care provider
A note from a social worker (for students helping family)
The LOA for a student with a periodic disability flare-up
etc...

You are not required to (and please do not) disclose any personal medical information; only confirmation that you have sought medical attention is needed to excuse your absence.

If you feel sick, do not go to your discussion. Instead, get tested and stay home. Your absence will still be excused if you test negative as long as you provide evidence of a test.
