Thursday, 3/11, 7–9 PM (CST).

Coverage: through Lecture 11 of 3/3/2021 + HW4.

Material allowed: Closed book. You are allowed two two-sided handwritten sheets of paper. No computers, calculators, tablets, or any other electronic means, except that a computer will be allowed for uploading the exam to Gradescope.

Login via Zoom on your smartphone at 6:45pm: Link, Meeting ID: 848 6144 7781

Set your smarphone to capture an image of your face and your hands as you work on your exam on paper.

Exam will be sent out via email on 7pm (CST). To work on the exam you must be in continous session on Zoom as described above.

Solutions will be submitted via Gradescope; students are allowed 15 min (9:00 - 9:15 pm) to complete the submission process

Instructions for Round 2 of Exam 1

You are given the opportunity to take another stab at the problems in Exam 1, this time in the format of a Take Home exam. Participation is voluntary

You may consult any book or internet resource, but are not allowed to consult with any living person.

Turn in solutions for any problem or part of a problem for which you scored less than full score, and wish to receive additional points. Start each problem on a new page, and clearly mark the problem and sub-problem number.

A weight of 1/2 will be applied to all additional points scored on this Round 2, and the result will be added to your score on the Round 1 exam. (Example: if you scored 60 points on Round 1, and score additional 38 points on Round 2, your final score will be 60+ 38/2= 79.)

Please, upload your Round 2 work to Gradescope, as you did with Round 1.

Round 2 work is due by Sunday 3/21 at 11:59 pm.

Statistics (2 rounds combined): Mean = 59.9; STD = 17.5; Max = 81.
Exam 2

Exam 2 will be a take home exam.
