NPRE 398 PL - Introduction to Plasmas

Subject offerings of new and developing areas of knowledge in nuclear, plasma, and radiological engineering intended to augment the existing curriculum. See Class Schedule or departmental course information for topics and prerequisites. Course Information: May be repeated in the same or separate terms if topics vary.

Section Description

Basic principles of how a plasma is generated to the different types of plasmas and the underlying concepts of plasmas such as the sheath, frequencies, drift velocities diagnositics. A first introduction to nuclear fusion as well as other types of plasmas, Prerequisite: PHYS 212.
