January 8: All labs start on the week of Monday, January 14, 2013. Please read the general guide (under Lecture Slides) and the description of Experiment #1 before coming to lab. You do not have to do the prelab before coming to lab for Experiment #1.

January 11: The lecture and all labs start next week. You do not need to purchase a lab manual for week 1. A copy of the General Guide and Experiment 1 is provided in the link below under Lecture Slides.

January 11: The lab manual will be on sale in EL60 (The ECE shop) starting 01/16 (next Wednesday) for around $25 each. You may use a copy from a recent semester if you happen to have one, but please be aware of the changes in the experiments as they have gone through some revision for this semester.

January 14: ECE 385 labs are done by partners of maximum 2 students. We will be pairing up students during the first week of the lab. If you cannot find a partner by your first lab. You should post your information on the webboard under 'I need a partner!', so other single students will be able to contact you for the pair up.

February 8: Sample Quiz 1 has bee posted. Quiz 1 will be held on Monday, February 11th during the lecture.

February 8: Lab 6 and onwards are VHDL labs. Quartus v9.1 is available on the EWS V: drive. Please use v9.1 instead of the newer versions. We will stick with the older Quartus simulator in this course.

February 28: We have a limited number of ps2 keyboards available to check out for lab 8. Please come to the lab (EL234) to check out the keyboards on Friday morning (02/29) from 9am-12pm, first come first serve.

March 12: The due date for the Lab 9 report has been extended to the week of April 1st during your lab section. The lab 9 week 2 demo as well as the lab 9 code submission are still due during the week of March 25th.

NEW! April 1st: The final project mid-checkpoint has been extended to the week of April 15th. It is recommended that you are able to demonstrate some tangible results by the mid-checkpoint, so you will still have time to either finish the project or extending the difficulty of your project.
