Course Grade:

 

The final grade in the course will be determined by the following criteria:

 

Homework:

15%

Quizzes:

20%

Midterm Exam:

20%

Final Exam:

45%

 

You will be able to view your recorded scores on the exams and homeworks, as well as the course statistics and distribution, using Illinois Compass.

 

Weekly Quizzes:

  1. Students will only be allowed to take the quiz in a different section with a reasonable justification (medical, job interview, conference).
  2. Students should inform the instructors that they will miss the quiz in their sections ahead of time (unless in case of an emergency), and receive a permission by email to attend a different (specified) section for the quiz.
  3. Students taking the quiz in a different section without permission, will receive a grade of zero for that quiz.
  4. No make-up quizzes will be given outside of the scheduled quizzes in the three sections of the course, except for students with a University "Letter of Accommodations" .
  5. Students may not be in class during quiz in a section in which they are not taking the quiz. Students may enter class at the end of quiz.

Exam Notes Policy:

It is important that the sheets of notes for the Midterm or Final Exam be HANDWRITTEN, not computer printouts, miniaturized copies, scanned, or otherwise. Anything that does not conform to these rules will not be allowed. If you are in possession of any such materials, you will be deemed as having violated the course honor code.

Please note that if the exam that causes a conflict with ECE 310 is for a course that has a larger enrollment than ECE 310 (currently ECE 220 in the three sections), then you need to take the conflict exam for the other course. To be considered, your request MUST contain both Items 1 and 2 above.
