This course uses the Grainger College of Engineering’s Computer-Based Testing Facility for its quizzes.
The policies of the CBTF are the policies of this course, and academic integrity infractions related to the CBTF are infractions in this course.
If you have any issue during an exam, inform the proctor immediately. Work with the proctor to resolve the issue at the time before logging off. If you do not inform a proctor of a problem during the test then you forfeit all rights to redress.
If you do not have a physical i-card, and therefore no ID photo with the i-card office, submit a photo to the CBTF as soon as possible to avoid problems when checking in for exams. Email photos to cbtf@illinois.edu.
Review all instructions on the CBTF website before your first exam and make your reservations at: https://cbtf.illinois.edu/students
⚠️ Note
If you have accommodations identified by the Division of Rehabilitation-Education Services (DRES) for exams, please submit your Letter of Accommodations (LOA) to CBTF before you make your first exam reservation. This must be done each semester you use the CBTF.
It can take up to five days for your LOA to be processed and if you make a reservation before your LOA has been processed, your reservation will not include your testing accommodations and you will be required to reschedule.
There are six 50-minute quizzes throughout the semester. These are closed-book, closed-notes individual assessments taken at the computer-based testing facility (CBTF). You can schedule each quiz as they become available. There is no makeup for missed quizzes due to COVID related or other medical and non-medical related circumstance. Instead, the lowest score from your quizzes will be dropped. Discussion of the quiz outside of the testing facility is NOT allowed.
⛔️ Caution!
If any case of cheating is found on your quizzes (including giving and receiving assistance/information on any quiz), you will lose at least 50% of your total quiz grade (10% of total score) and be reported to the college. For severe case of cheating, additional penalty will be applied at the instructor's discretion.
