Statement of Purpose

Create a portable charger that uses solar panels to charge the device. The charger will have the ability to charge many different devices such as IPhone and Samsung phones.

Background Research

We looked at ways that this device can be made and many ideas seemed pretty simple and except for the soldering part. That will take a bit of learning through online resources. We also want to add a twist to this idea by adding a battery that can hold the charge for later use. The device also has to be portable and efficient.

Block Diagram / Flow Chart

System Overview

Solar panels will absorb energy from the sun turning it into usable energy for devices. LED light will light up if enough current is flowing detecting to the user that the conditions to charge or good or not. The solar panels will be connected to a 5V boost converter module that will allow for devices to be plugged in to begin charging. Create app that shows live data on how efficient the solar panels are, how much charge has passed through , and a timer to show how long it has been charging for.

Possible Challenges

Getting an app to be able to show data such as outputs of the solar panel. Finding the correct parts and parts that don't take up too much power or charge to decrease the efficiency.

Comments:

Hey guys! To get your proposal approved, please add some scope to your project. It seems like the most difficult part may be the addition of a battery reserve but that is truly not a large task.

Also, please update the possible challenges tab and provide a more detailed price list!

Once those things get done we will approve your project.

Hi, we've made changes and would like another review for our project to be able to continue on starting the next steps.

Seems like the app will be a good ]addition to the project. Make sure you update the proposal with any research you guys have done on the development of that app and make it clear in your statement of purpose. You guys are approved.
