Introduction
Statement of Purpose
With the rise in popularity of electric skateboards, we wanted to create a way to connect your phone to your e-skateboard. With a symbiotic relationship between these two devices, the user will be able to track data about their skateboard control their electric skateboard as well.
Background Research
Many people have used different methods of making DIY electric skateboards on YouTube so we plan on implementing our ideas that we feel are the best with some ideas that worked well for them in order to create a working product.
Milestones:
Controlling the motor with a cellular device
Sending information from the motor to the cellular device
Making the necessary changes to run the motor on high voltage.
Implementing the motor within a skateboard

- The Wheel Pulley
- The Drive Belt
- The Motor Mounting Plate and Truck Clamping Parts, referred to as the Motor Mount
Possible Challenges
A possible challenge we may encounter is getting the Bluetooth to be reliable. Although, the Bluetooth module we are using is the best module to use, we have read that sometimes it can work amazing and at other times it will not work at all. I think making sure our code is neat and clean will help to minimize this.
Another possible challenge we might encounter is coding the app that will run our motor. Making an app that is streamline, and one that runs smoothly can be quite challenging,
