1.INTRODUCTION
1.1 - Statement of Purpose
Zippers get jammed/stuck on a regular basis, especially on jackets and coats. This makes it very frustrating for people to use winter clothes, as just zipping up can take a lot of time. With the help of an automatic zipper, people won't have to face the problem of their zippers getting jammed at the worst time possible.
1.2 - Background Research
It is often difficult to zip a zipper properly. Due to the difference in forces applied by the human hand while closing/zipping a zip, the zipper often tends to get stuck. We intend to provide a solution to this by designing a zipper which can zip itself with a constant force.

2.2 - System Overview
To construct a zipper which will automatically zip itself with the push of a button. The design, as we imagine it will look as, consists of two lines (both sides of the zipper). The design will consist of a button, which when pressed, propels the zip into action. The zip will use a programmed chip, which on sensing an extrusion/pattern, will move forward. For this, we are planning to use a step-up motor.
