Introduction
We are continuing on our project. Last semester, we built a synchronized lock system, in which when one lock opens the other automatically unlocks. This semester, we are going to build a tracker module that activates when the locks report abnormality. It is going to be built around a Bluetooth+WiFi module and a GSM+GPS module. We are also planning on improving the locking system, and designing an Android app to control the whole security system.
Design Detail
Parts
Adafruit FONA 808 for GPS tracking and mobile data connection.
RedBearLab Duo as microcontroller, WiFi and Bluetooth connection of the tracking module.
3* RedBearLab BLE micro as microcontroller and Bluetooth connection for the locks and key fob.
Challenges
Using a whole new development platform, so development may be difficult.
