Except in unusual circumstances, MP regrade requests must be made within two weeks from the day grades are returned. Please be serious when requesting a regrade as it takes time and interferes with the grading of subsequent projects. Frivolous regrade requests may be ignored.
You have every right to request a regrade, without the possibility of getting a lower grade, if:
There was some failure in the handin system beyond your control.
Your total score was computed incorrectly, mis-entered in the gradebook, or not entered at all.
Points were deducted for a feature that clearly conforms to the given specifications. Please double-check your functionality in the CSIL labs first, using the version you turned in. Also, please be sure to try various test cases, as we test different cases that you may not have tried before.
Other circumstances are generally less clear-cut, and we reserve the right to re-evaluate your total score. You may in the end lose even more points.
Non-functional features are given partial credit based on the extent to which they approach a working solution. This is naturally a subjective process. If you wish to dispute the assessment of partial credit, you may be asked to produce a working version of your code in order to demonstrate that it was indeed nearly functional.
To request a regrade, contact one or both of the TAs. E-mail is preferred (so that we have a record of your request), but you may also make regrade requests during office hours.
