We will be using Illinois Compass to handin finished projects this semester:
After logging into Compass, go to the homepage of “CS 418 - Computer Graphics - Fall 2005”, and you’ll see all the assignments listed. Go to the assignment submission page by clicking on the corresponding icon. In the submission page, you can use the “Add attachments” button to upload your project. In the top text box indicate the platform (Windows or Linux) that you want your project run on.
Please note that every student should compress their projects into a single .zip file, say “netid-mp1.zip” for mp1, “netid-mp2.zip” for mp2, etc.
You can submit your project multiple times before it is due. The last submission will overwrite the previous ones, and the submission time will be the time of your last submission.
After submitting your MP, you should be able to see it through these steps:
On the upper right corner of the course homepage in Compass, click on the “Assignments” link. You’ll see a table with 4 tabs, namely “Inbox, Submitted, Graded, Published”.
Click on the “Submitted” tab, and your submitted MP should appear here.
To check that your submission is what you intended, click on title of the MP. In the next page, right click on the link to the “.zip” file and select “Save Link As…”. What you get will be exactly what the graders will get.
To re-submit a newer version of your MP, click on the rightmost icon under “Options”. This will move your MP from the “Submitted” tab to the “Inbox” tab. Then you can go to “Inbox” and remove or add the attached file, and re-submit after that.
