Welcome to CS 173, Fall 2008!

The exams and solutions from CS 173 Spring 2008 are available here. Please remember: The topics on our exam 1 are different (e.g. no summations or induction). To study for our exam, you should review the HW assignments, quiz, and  (re)read the textbook. Look at this list for the set of topics to know for our exam.

Midterm 1 will be 1 October. For details, see the exams page.

Room change for the proficiency exam: it's now in 2405 Siebel. Still 2-4 on Saturday.

No discussion sections this week or (due to the holiday) next week. That is, the first week of discussion section will be Sept 8-9.

Homework 0 is available on the homework page, due this Friday (29th) in class.

The proficiency exam will be held at 2pm on Saturday the 30th, in 3124 Siebel. Please email Margaret Fleck (mfleck@cs.uiuc.edu) if you plan to take it.

Most course announcements will be posted on the class newsgroup. Subscribe now and read it frequently. Only a few, very critical, announcements will be posted on this main page.
