/ Spring 2015
First Due Date:
9:00pm, Friday April 10th, 2015
Second Due Date: 9:00pm, Friday April 17th, 2015
You can submit your files
as many times as you like, using handin (see below), before the
due date. We will grade only the last submission you made before
the due date.
When you submit your files, if you accidentally submit more files
than are requested that's OK. The TAs grader program is the same
program as the checker program we give you
and this checker program ignores superfluous files.
To submit your MP 2 files located
on an EWS computer:
1) Open a Linux terminal window
by clicking at the top of the desktop on,
Applications/System Tools/Terminal
2) Use the ls (and cd if
necessary) command to make sure the the directory contains your
MP2 files.
3) Use the pwd command to see the
name of your directory. You should not have any blanks in the
directory name. If so rename the directory.
4) Copy/Paste the command
/class/cs101ta/public_html/mps/handinMPs/handin.sh
into your terminal window and hit the enter key.
Enter your AD password as many times as is asked. Note that you
won't see ******.
5) If you get an error of the
form,
Password for 'login' GNOME
keyring:
svn: OPTIONS of
'https://subversion.ews.illinois.edu/svn/sp15-cs101/yournetid':
authorization failed: Could not authenticate to server: rejected
Basic challenge (https://subversion.ews.illinois.edu)
Connection to your handin account
failed.
then at the Linux desktop click
Applications/Accessories/Paswords
and Encryption Keys
and delete the login password.
This doesn't really delete your "login" password but will fix the
problem shown above.
A students
score will be based solely on the score the checker gives. If the
checker crashes and does not produce a score then the students
score for the MP 2 is zero.
Use FastX
(or NX Client) to submit your work on the last day of submission
(April 10th or April 17th) at your own risk. If FastX (or NX
Client) goes down but the EWS lab computers are still running then
there will be no extension for the due date.
For MP 2:
If an assignment is first submitted after the April 10th date but
before the April 17th date then there will be a 25 point deduction
and no resubmission after this week will be allowed. No assignment
will be accepted after the April 17th date. If an assignment
is first submitted before the April 10th date then a resubmission
is permitted. There is a limit of 25 points maximum that can be
obtained by a resubmission.
For MP 2 Extra Credit (only)
There is no late penalty if the extra credit portion of the MP 2
is submitted after the April 10th date but before the April 17th
date, however if an extra credit assignment is first submitted
after the April 10th date (but before the April 17th date) then no
resubmission will be permitted for the extra credit.
