Course Description

Supplementary material to PHYS 212. We will take a collaborative group learning approach to improving our conceptual understanding and problem solving abilities in introductory calculus-based electricity & magnetism

Prerequisite: PHYS 100; concurrent registration in PHYS 212

Policies and Procedures

Course Grade Breakdown

• Attendance worth 10% of the total grade. You must arrive to class on time to receive full attendance points
• Participation is worth 20% of the total grade. You should be collaborating with your classmates on the problems
• Completing your notes and practice assignments is worth 30%. These assignments are graded for completion. Practice assignments are comprised of old released exam questions relevant to topics from each week
• Your problem sets are worth 40%. Problem sets are graded for correctness. These assignments are old and modified quizzes from previous semesters of PHYS 212

Assignment Due Dates:

All assignment are due at the beginning of class. Work can be submitted via email or given to the instructor at the start of class

Any assignment turned in after Thursday at 5 p.m. will be considered late and your assignment score will be docked by 50%

Completed assignments can be corrected and resubmitted at the beggining of class the week after they are due for full credit
