Welcome to Physics 213!
Formula SheetLecture
Students must be on time and prepared for lecture.
- Watch the prelecture videos and complete the checkpoint questions on smart.physics.
- All students taking physics courses at the U of I, Spring 2021 are covered to use iClicker Cloud at no additional cost to the student.
- Before your first lecture, go to https://www.iclicker.com.
- If this is your first time using this application, click the "Create an Account" link at the top. Otherwise Sign In.
- Please use your netid@illinois.edu email address to create an account.
- Once logged in, click the plus sign in the upper right-hand corner of the screen.
- Enter "Physics Dept: University of Illinois at Urbana" for your institution.
- There are two different iClicker Cloud courses setup for Physics 213 this semester. Be sure you note which section you are registered for (A1, A2). Enter "Physics 213 [your section goes here] Spring 2021" as the course name (i.e. "Physics 213 A1 Spring 2021")
- Review Lecture Zoom Links to get the link for your lecture section.
Discussion
Students must be on time and prepared for discussion.
- Review Discussion Zoom Links to get the link for your discussion section.
- You will upload your discussion problems to GradeScope for grading.
Laboratory
Students must be on time and prepared for labs.
- Review Lab Zoom Links to get the link for your lab section.
- Lab materials will be posted on PrairieLearn.
- Labs will be uploaded to GradeScope for grading.
Homework
- Homework assignments are on smart.physics.
- Consult the course schedule for due dates.
Quizzes and Exams
- View Formula Sheet
- There are two biweekly quizzes and a final exam. See the course schedule.
- Quizzes and exams will be on PrairieLearn, and proctored online by the CBTF.
- Review the exam information page for details.
- Attend CBTF Office Hours before the first quiz for setup help.
Excused Absences
- Please submit your excused absence no later than 12 business days from your absence via the Excused Absences application.
