Physics of plasmas, including particle and fluid descriptions, waves, collisions, stability, and confinement, with applications to controlled thermonuclear fusion reactors, problems in fusion engineering, and astrophysics. Course Information: 3 undergraduate hours. 3 graduate hours. Prerequisite: For engineering or physical science majors with junior standing.
