MSE 583 - Dynamics of Complex Fluids

Official Description
Microscopic statistical treatment of the structure and dynamics of polymers, colloids, gels, and other soft materials. Fundamental connections between molecular architecture, intermolecular forces, collective fluid structure, and time-dependent phenomena; Brownian motion, Langevin equation theory, and viscoelasticity; diffusion in colloidal suspensions, gels, and glasses; dynamics of polymer solutions and melts. Course Information: Prerequisite: MSE 401.
