ME 592 - Science Communication I

Official Description
Instruction and practice in written and oral science communication to technical and non-technical audiences, focusing primarily on presentations and written communication. Topics include storytelling, elevator pitches, graphical outlines, effective graphics, slide design, assertion-evidence based presentations, persuasion, writing mechanics, and selecting journals for publication. Course Information: Prerequisite: Advanced composition or equivalent. 1-2 years of previous research experience or instructor approval. Recommended for Graduate students in years 2-4.
