ME 524 - Electronics Cooling

Official Description
Fundamentals and applications of thermal management in electronics, including air cooling, liquid cooling, and two-phase cooling of microelectronic systems. Introduction to packaging levels, heat flux density, and reliability issues. Heat pipe theory, design, manufacturing, and applications, as well as advanced cooling technologies such as vapor chambers, loop heat pipes, and pulsating heat pipes. Emphasis on both fundamentals and industrial applications. Course Information: Prerequisite: ME 310 or TAM 335; ME 320.
