IE 546 - Human Factors in HCES

Official Description
Provides an overview of research that applies theories and methods from human factors and cognitive science to analyze the sources of these problems and to develop and evaluate design and training interventions to help providers and patients successfully navigate heath care systems. An introduction to problems and accidents in health care related to human factors is followed by an overview of concepts and methods from the fields of human factors and cognitive science. Course Information: Same as EPSY 546. 4 graduate hours. No professional credit.
