Section Description

This course will cover how identity is established and used online. It will discuss how names and other identifiers are translated to cryptographic keys used in authentication; how identity proxies, including cookies and IP addresses, are used in advertising and abuse prevention; and how privacy preserving techniques can be used to shield important identifying information online. Prerequisites: ECE 422/CS 461 or ECE 407/CS407.
