MP 3 Checkpoint Late Credit

Your score for MP 3 checkpoints 1 and 2 is the highest of your on-time score, 80% of your Saturday late score, and 50% of your Sunday late score. After the MP 3 checkpoint 3 deadline, we will rerun each checkpoint's tests on its own branch (mp3cp1 or mp3cp2) with no late scaling. If that score is higher, you earn back 50% of the difference. Your score never goes down. Examples, out of 100:

• On time with 80, fully working by the end: 80 + (100 - 80)/2 = 90
• Saturday late with 100 (scaled to 80), still working at the end: 90
• Sunday late with 100 (scaled to 50), still working at the end: 75
• Not submitted, fully working by the end: 50

Checkpoint 3 is not eligible because it is the final deadline.

Submission

• Submit all assignments to a branch, on the respective GitHub repository as indicated below.

  • Branch mp1 for MP1
  • Branch mp2cp1 for MP2 checkpoint 1
  • Branch mp2cp2 for MP2 checkpoint 2
  • Branch mp2cp3 for MP2 checkpoint 3
  • Branch mp2cp4 for MP2 checkpoint 4
  • Branch mp3cp1 for MP3 checkpoint 1
  • Branch mp3cp2 for MP3 checkpoint 2
  • Branch mp3cp3 for MP3 checkpoint 3
• Preliminary and Deadline Reports
  • Preliminary reports will have limited scope for the test case names and logs, but will show your final checkpoint score. These should be used to ensure compatibility prior to deadline runs.
  • Deadline reports will have full scope for the test case names and logs. If there is a preliminary report on the due date the deadline report will replace it instead.
  • Late deadline reports will run for 2 days after the due-date at the same time and with the same content as deadline reports, with these maximum-credit penalties:
    • Saturday at 18:00 US Central time: 80% maximum credit
    • Sunday at 18:00 US Central time: 50% maximum credit
  • The autograder site will be for previous checkpoints to regression test and aid in fixing technical debt.
• The auto-grader will generate preliminary reports leading up to the due date. These run at set times and use the latest commit on the respective branch:
  • Mondays at 18:00 US Central time
  • Wednesdays at 18:00 US Central time
  • Fridays at 18:00 US Central time

One-Time Late Penalty Waiver

There is one late waiver for any the following assignments, which will be automatically applied at the end of the semester: MP0, MP1, MP2 Checkpoints 1, 2, 3, and 4.
