CS 598 TDS - Topics in Distributed Systems

Subject offerings of new and developing areas of knowledge in computer science intended to augment the existing curriculum. See Class Schedule or departmental course information for topics and prerequisites. Course Information: May be repeated in the same or separate terms if topics vary.

Section Description

Cutting edge topics that explore overlap of distributed systems with new emerging human-facing computing research areas. Reading selections are largely contemporary. Students will write critiques, make presentations, and create a conference paper in a systematic manner. Prerequisite: any course on distributed systems, operating systems, or networking, such as CS 425, CS 340, ECE 391 or CS 438 or equivalent. Undergraduates are welcome if space remains after incoming graduate students have registered.
