Section Description
Generative models for biomedicine and life sciences. Generative models have greatly advanced the field of biological sciences and medicine, enabling atomic level design and modeling of molecular systems such as protein, DNA and small molecules. In this course, we will discuss recent advances in generative AI for biomedicine, with special focus on geometric aware deep learning, multimodal diffusion and flow matching on diverse data manifolds, as well as foundational models for biomedicine and life sciences applications such as protein design, drug discovery, and understanding functions and dynamics of complex biomolecular systems. This will be a graduate level course in seminar format. Prerequisite: Introduction to Machine Learning.
