Seminar on topics of current interest as announced in the Class Schedule. Course Information: Approved for S/U grading only. May be repeated in the same or separate terms if topics vary. Prerequisite: As specified for each topic offering, see Class Schedule or departmental course description.

Section Description

The seminar focuses on the fundamentals of applied data science and special topics that support research in the area. Topics include the use of Python and R in data science, git-based workflows, using Pytorch, performance profiling, and more general topics such as writing scientific papers in LaTeX. High-level research talks in the area will also be included.
