Course Description
This section of ADV492 is dual-listed in the Computer Science Department under the course code CS468. Media and CS students will work closely together in project teams to investigate and find solutions to a real-world problem in digital advertising and marketing. In Spring 2021, there are two projects:
Developing a data-driven brand reputation monitoring and analytics dashboard (Project Lead: Mohit Gupta)
Developing an algorithm-based wine recommendation system for conducting a consumer psychology experiment (Project Lead: Mia Wang)
Course Goals and Objectives
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
evaluate advertising and integrated marketing communication activities from a multidisciplinary perspective
tackle advertising and marketing related problems with technology and data-driven solutions
apply design thinking to technological innovation and creative problem solving
work with a diverse and multidisciplinary team
manage complex projects
