Section Description
Through reading, reflection, conversation, and experimentation, students will examine their relationship with technology. Topics may include social media and mental health, surveillance capitalism, search and algorithmic bias, deep work, and viewpoint polarization. Readings by Cathy O'Neil, Jonathan Haidt, Shoshana Zuboff, Wendell Berry, Safiya Noble, Dave Eggers, and others.
