CEE 598 SSD - Seismic Steel Design

Subject offerings of new and developing areas of knowledge in civil and environmental engineering intended to augment the existing curriculum. Section Description
Prerequisites: CEE 462 and CEE 472.
Monotonic and cyclic elastic-plastic steel stress-strain properties; plastic behavior of steel cross-sections; fundamentals of plastic analysis with applications to frame structures; capacity design principles and implementation in seismic steel design provisions; behavior, analysis and design of ductile steel moment frames, braced frames and plate shear walls.
