Subject offerings of new and developing areas of knowledge in bioengineering intended to augment the existing curriculum. See Class Schedule or departmental course information for topics and prerequisites. Course Information: 1 to 4 graduate hours. No professional credit. May be repeated in the same or separate terms if topics vary.

Section Description

Exposes students to current topics in biomedical imaging science, with a focus on the translation of basic science findings and engineering developments to applied biology and clinical studies intended to expand biomedical knowledge and improve clinical imaging capabilities. Combines didactic elements with research seminars discussing current findings and technical advances. Requirements include attendance at a weekly seminar, post-seminar discussion, and several written exercises. Prerequisites: undergraduate courses in physics and biology.
