BIOE 598 NIC - Cancer Nanotechnology

Subject offerings of new and developing areas of knowledge in bioengineering intended to augment the existing curriculum. See Class Schedule or departmental course information for topics and prerequisites. Course Information: May be repeated in the same or separate terms if topics vary.
Section Description
This is a graduate level course for students who are interested in learning nanotechnology and its applications in biology and medicine. Key topics include: (1) cancer biology and clinical oncology, (2) fundamentals of nanoscience, (3) principles of nanoscale engineering, (4) major classes of nanoparticles and nanostructures, and (5) nanomedicine - technologies and applications.
Seats will be released to non-majors on December 1. Enrollment in this course requires approval from a graduate advisor. Please email your request to bioe-gradprograms@illinois.edu for review.
