BIOE 430 - Intro Synthetic Biology

Official Description

Introduction to the field of synthetic biology. Engineering applications of biomolecular systems and cellular capabilities for a variety of application biological background of gene regulation, experimental methods for circuit engineering, and mathematical basis for circuit modeling. Examples in biofuels, biomedicine, and other areas will be discussed. Course Information: 3 undergraduate hours. 4 graduate hours. Prerequisite: BIOE 206 or MCB 252; and MATH 285.
