Course Description

This course covers the fatigue and fracture behavior of metallic structures and connections; fatigue and fracture mechanics theory; generation and use of laboratory data; and the background and application of international testing and assessment standards.

Prerequisites

BS degree in engineering or science from an accredited college in the United States or an approved institution of higher learning abroad and one of CEE 471 (Structural Mechanics), TAM 451 (Intermediate Solid Mechanics), or TAM 551 (Solid Mechanics I).
