Fundamental aspects of hypersonic flows and aerothermodynamics of high-speed vehicles; the hypersonic aerothermal environment; inviscid hypersonic flows; hypersonic boundary layers; basics of high temperature gas dynamics and thermochemical nonequilibrium flows; re-entry aeromechanics Course Information: 3 undergraduate hours. 3 or 4 graduate hours. Prerequisite: AE 312.
