This class offers a collaborative international experience throughout the semester by providing an opportunity to engage with Brazilian engineering students to address an industry-driven aerospace project. Teams will be formed combining Illinois students with Brazilian students from some of their top engineering schools. At the end of the semester, the class will travel to Brazil for a series of industry visits, university-sponsored mini-projects, and cultural experiences. In addition to this project, the class will include discussions of the Brazilian aerospace industry and Brazilian culture. No experience with the Portuguese language is required (although it would be a great bonus). The trip associated with the course will be approximately 10 days and will depart within a few days after the May commencement ceremonies. Seniors are welcome in the class and on the trip (even though the trip takes place after commencement). There is a cost associated with the travel portion of the cours
