This class offers an international experience without required travel (and expenses). Students will have an opportunity to engage with Brazilian aerospace engineering students to address an international, collaborative, industry-driven aerospace project. Teams will be formed combining Illinois students with Brazilian students from some of their top engineering schools. In addition to this project, the class will include discussions of the Brazilian aerospace industry and Brazilian culture. The third-largest commercial aircraft manufacturer in the world (Embraer) is based in Brazil, so there is a strong aerospace connection. No experience with the Portuguese language is required (although it would be a great bonus). The course website will be hosted on Canvas. This course will count as an AE technical elective. If campus approves international travel for faculty-led study-abroad trips, an optional trip to Brazil will take place at the end of the course. The trip would be approximately 1
