AE 298 INS - Intro to Nanosatellite Design

Section Description

Intro to Nanosatellite Design (2hr) is a project-based course where students apply basic spacecraft mission and systems concepts to nanosatellite design through a semester long design project. Students will learn mission requirements and design processes. The course also has a lab component to introduce students to equipment and tests for simulating the space environment. Students will complete a lab training module to prepare them for potential future work in the university small satellite laboratory. This course will prepare students for ENG 491CU1 (Nanosatellite Design and Build). Students are encouraged (but not required) to take AE 298 concurrently with AE 199 Intro to Spacecraft Systems and Missions.
